Step by Step Acrylic Painting Tutorials

Abstract Poppies

Abstract Poppies is a level 1 beginner friendly abstract painting. We start by coating our 12 by 16 canvas with a first layer of gray paint gradually tinting it darker the farther down we go. After a dry time we play with pallet knives (or piece of thin straight cardboard), bubble wrap, or stencils to really grunge up our piece. Its super fun to play with different textures and paint in a more abstract way.

Frosty Morning cabin acrylic painting tutorial

Frosty Morning Cabin – Acrylic Painting Tutorial

The Frosty Morning Cabin is probably a Level 2, easy to moderate. There are no templates, the cabin is free hand. I suggest using a piece of chalk to sketch in your cabin first before painting it. I believe the step by step painting video is approximately 1 hour and 15 min, however, it will most likely take you closer to 2 hours to complete. Feel free to pause at any time to make your own adjustments.
